In May I spent four hours inside an abandoned factory.
I took 178 photos including about 15 outside while waiting to get in.
That’s an average of about 40 an hour
Nearly 150 of the 178 were bracketed exposures (3-5 each)
I was doing the HDR Efex Pro 2 beta test and needed test images
I didn’t need EXIF or fancy software to tell me I made 178 photos
However, now I’m testing another piece of software
Buried deep inside is the ability to analyze EXIF shooting data
That’s not its main (or even tertiary) purpose
I just like to play 
I asked it – What aperture settings did I use at the factory?
It gave me the above graph
135 of 178 captures were at f/8
That’s as it should be
f/5.6 to f/8 is this lens’ sweet spot
Inside the factory didn’t need a stopped down lens
